INFORMATION ON THE SGA SCRAMBLES

As in previous years, the SGA will be holding a summer 9 hole fun competition each Thursday evening at RCGH starting April 2010 until October.
The competition is a scramble format although the rules might change to give some variety and hopefully more enjoyment.
Random teams of 3 or 4 players, are selected by the  weekly organiser on the night to encourage more familiarity between the members.

T
ee times will be from 1645 until 1800; as daylight is short at the extremities of the scramble season please try and turn up early to ensure you can complete the 9 holes !

All SGA members and their visitors are encouraged to attend, with the emphasis is on fun and enjoyment; this is an ideal opportunity to introduce newcomers into competitive golf within a friendly environment.

Whilst I
will be the overall coordinator for the scrambles, I will always be looking for support from willing volunteers to run any scrambles; please select your dates by adding your name to the list on the SGA notice board in Building 102.

Running a scramble is easy.  Prizes and scorecards will be available from the SGA locker at RCGH, the combination being available from myself.
While there are standard rules printed on the scorecards, weekly organisers are at liberty to use any variation on the format as they wish – a chance to get your own back on previous organisers !

These evenings are great fun, so please turn up and enjoy the first 9 holes, before a cold beer, in an easy, relaxing atmosphere amongst friends and work colleagues.
